Mike Swick injured, out of UFC 103 fight vs. Martin Kampmann

Mike Swick was injured in training this week, and will be unable to fight Martin Kampmann at UFC 103 next week. Paul Daley will take his place in the contest. Swick posted the news on his Twitter account:
I am out of UFC 103. It sucks and I am sorry guys…I got foot swept while sparring this week and lost my legs. Landed on back of my head and neck and suffered a pretty bad concussion.
It appears the injury won’t keep Swick out of action long, but unfortunately for him, he may find himself having to fight to get back into contender status. The bout with Kampmann was to determine the number one contender for UFC welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre.
Daley was originally scheduled to make his UFC debut against UFC newcomer Brian Foster on the preliminary card, but he will now be bumped up to the main card to take on Kampmann. Daley is a rising star from England and is 21-8-2 in his career. He was scheduled to take on Jay Hieron at the Affliction event scheduled for August 1st that was eventually cancelled.
Daley is known primarily as a striker, and opponents such as Jake Shields and Nick Thompson have used to that to their advantage to score victories over him during his career.
A win for Kampmann will likely still earn him the title shot against St. Pierre, though a Daley victory will throw the division into turmoil.
