Dan Henderson and Michael Bisping pre-fight smack talk
I haven’t given the Dan Henderson/Michael Bisping fight at UFC 100 much coverage due to the two other mega fights on the same card, but this fight is one I’m looking forward to as well. I started out not being much of a fan of Michael Bisping, but since he has moved down to the middleweight division he’s had a newfound aggressiveness that has made me dislike him less. He’s at the correct weight class now and is a pretty solid all-around fighter.
Dan Henderson is still dangerous even as he approaches his 39th birthday. He is coming off a split decision victory over Rich Franklin, a fight that many people think he actually lost. He still has a great wrestling background and a very dangerous overhand right. One thing that has surprised me from the pre-fight hype is how Bisping keeps saying he’s going to plan on beating Hendo in the wrestling game. We’ll see if he stays true to that word.
This fight also hasn’t gotten a lot of traction because they didn’t really feud during “The Ultimate Fighter,” at least not as much as some of the other coaching tandems. Henderson is a quiet guy by nature, so you don’t see him do much trash talking, but Bisping is typically a loudmouth. Here is what each of them had to say as they prepared for their showdown at UFC 100:
